Fow-gbx62BP44 Armoured Train Locomotive19.80One Armoured Locomotive. With captured Polish and Russian trains as templates the Germans went about creating a standard model of armoured train in 1941. This was known as the BP42, and with later additions, the BP44. These new trains borrowed from the captured designs’ increased artillery capability over the existing German trains. They also overcame some of the perceived design flaws in the captured trains by splitting the artillery car in two, leaving only one gun on each car and thereby reducing loss of firepower if an artillery car was knocked out. Modern anti-aircraft guns and tank-hunter cars were also added making a formidable self-contained fighting unit. BattlefrontFlames of War

A company, or better yet a full Königstiger battalion, was quite capable of steamrolling its way through enemy lines and driving a wedge to be exploited. But this would be one local break through, and with front lines extending over a thousand kilometres, the few Königstiger available could hardly have the impact needed to reverse the Allies in their assault on Germany in 1944. BattlefrontFlames of War
Fow-gbx70Jagdtiger14.85includes one Jagdtiger Tank Destroyer & one Decal sheet. The Jagdtiger was the largest and heaviest armoured fighting vehicle used by the German panzer forces during the war. Two prototypes were produced, one using the original Henschel Königstiger suspension, the other based on the Porsche suspension similar to that of the Elefant tank-hunter. The Henschel design was selected, but due to slow production ten Porsche vehicles were also produced. A total of 77 Jagdtiger tank-hunters were manufactured by the end of the war.
